Good evening ladies and ghouls! We have a very interesting and exciting post to help get you through the the down hill slide to being FEATURED ON PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN!! THAT'S RIGHT! We are OFFICIALLY #7Days away from the episode and we COULDN'T be more thrilled. On that note: let's all aboard the train and ride into the past. Last week at this time we had a small investigation of the Manor. Myself, my parents and Allison.. We had done a few sessions of leaving recorders in places we normally wouldn't, to see what we could get. We got the normal knocks, bangs, a few small voices here and there. We did a small Q&A with the ghosties and got a few things. But one thing that all made our mouths drop to the floor and instantly call/text anyone we could think of to hear what we caught. Get prepared for a little history lesson. When Malvern Manor originally opened in the 1800's as a hotel, it was the only one located in Malvern at the time, with it's close proximity to the Railroad, it was booked nearly solid every night. For $2 per night you got a warm, cozy bed and a hot meal. (Isn't that one heck of a deal?!) The Railroad was literally right there! With Inez's room being the closest to the tracks. Anyways, so the night we were investigating we set a recorder at the top of the steps of the Attic, shut the door and waiting in the 17/18 hallway, sitting as quite as can be to see if we could hear anything. We didn't hear a SINGLE thing the entire time we sat there. It was a good 20 minutes. About 3 minutes in our recorder, can you guess what we heard? Check it out below: ** It's recommended that you use earbuds when listening ** As always, let me know what you think below in a comment. Also check out our Facebook and Twitter. The links we below. We also just added our 360 Degree preview walk through of Malvern Manor. See the Manor in all it's glory and then book your investigation while you are at it! One last thing, read the blog post below to GET YOUR TICKETS TO A VERY SPECIAL EVENT IN MAY AT MALVERN MANOR!!!!

Ouija boards can be all fun and games for a group of teenagers looking to scare a friend, until that ouija board brings an unwanted negativity into their world. Not all sessions with a ouija board are bad, but if used in the right house or building and they can conjure up something no one can be prepared for. There have been a few people to use a ouija board in the Manor and it was all fun and games. Little repsones, some that make no sense. We even had a ouija board in the 'lobby' area with the wheelchair at one point, that was on display. But we've never had anything to creepy come from it. I do know of a few stories that aren't at the Manor, but still may make you shiver in your knickers and are REALLY GOOD REMINDERS that we should be careful when messing with an unknown world. It may sounds a little 'paranormal avtivity'-ish, but people can open up a dark world when using the board. I've heard and read countless stories of ouija board experiences that will make a person never touch a board again. Teenage girls trying to scare a friend of theirs when all of a sudden the planchette goes flying off the board and smashes against the wall. Someone feels an eerie cold grip on their shoulder. They start hearing footsteps and voices, on top of being scratched.
Not to mention if something really evil comes through, it can terrorize your whole life. I've heard of people leaving their houses because activity gets so intense, items move, doors open and close on their own. If you've ever seen any paranormal shows, usually they bring up the topic of ouija boards and the terrors they bring to families and owners. One thing you should ALWAYS remember when you are investigating, playing the board, casting a curse, whatever it is... the things that lurk in the dark and roam between worlds, can harm you if you are not trained or you aren't prepared for what can happen. Ouija's can be a good time, even a chance to play a prank on your friend, but if you have activity already, I wouldn't use one, it may allow other things to make their way into your home. I know everyone is probably getting pretty sick and tired of hearing about the attic in Malvern Manor, but there's just TO MUCH STUFF HAPPENING UP THERE! A couple months back we had a team come and stay for a 3-4 day trip and we heard some VERRRRYYYY interesting tales from them. SOME of which includes the attic, among the other stories. So that's where I'll start. The Attic: During this groups trip, we heard plenty of times, that they kept hearing a 'dragging' noise, foot steps, and all around bangs and booms! This is typical of the Manor, but what's more annoying, is that who ever is creating all of this noise, plays a game of cat and mouse. So you'll hear the footsteps and loud bangs, but when you chase it down, it is seemingly gone or the noises will move to a different part of the Manor. We don't have any evidence from this group, but we do have other examples of this happening. First off, we left a recorder alone in the attic overnight, while no one was at the Manor. We have a SOLID 19 HOURS OF NOTHING BUT CRAZINESSSS! Sadly it's to long and large of a file to input here. :( More recently in attic: My dad left a bottle of whisky hidden away only for the man to find. After coming back a while later, the whisky was nearly gone. We also got an interesting clip from the attic, again. :) So I myself have a hard time figuring out what exactly I think they are saying. Some think they hear "Someone Help Me" others say "Hey Over There". So you'll have to make up your own mind about that. As you all know by now, we are a legitamate haunted attraction, that is not for the faint of heart <3 If you remember the story of Inez here's an addition. If not, get your Halloween fill and click the link below to take you straight to it. James is Josh H.'s brohter that lives in the area, so at night he walks and checks out the manor when he smokes his cigarette. (Smoking is not cool kids). One night, he seen someone playing 'Peek-a-Boo" out of Inez's window. So he decided to do a 75 round burst of photos, to see if he could catch what his eyes were seeing. The first picture shows the original. The second picture is with color enhancement. Next up is a story that made the investigators who lived it, just about s*!t their pants. On Friday night we had our Halloween event with APEX Paranormal group, and of course the people who were brave enough to join us. A group was near the attic stairs/room 17 and 18. As they were on their ghost hunt, they started hearing footsteps. When they caught someone running down the attic stairs. We're not real sure who is up in the attic, but whoever it is, can make quite the ruckus. In a post I'll do later, we have lots of evidence from this area that is really surprising and common. Enjoy this next clip. Last up for the Halloween Ghost story is one that we haven't been able to prove. In the attic, if you look at the foundation, the wood is charred. Of course it's been patched up, but the wood looks like it has been in a fire. This is where it get's a little weird, there is. NO. RECORD. OF. ANY. FIRE. So how did the wood get burned? We don't really know for sure, but we do know that there HAD to be a fire at some point and time. This is also where it get's weirder. Check out the picture below and you tell me what you see?! Comment below what you see! Also follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook. Tweet/Message us what you saw and what you think! :) <3
If you've had the awesome chance to visit Malvern, you know that we have a section of the giant building that we tend to call the "Nursing Home Wing". This area has a TON of remnants of the days it was in use. You can see where the nursing station use to be, some old files and medicine cabinets. Left behind items from old patients. I'll do a series of postings on each "hot spot" room (what room isn't a hot spot in this place?) But for now, the first room that made an ever lasting impression on me was the room that it is said to belong to a beautiful woman who ripped her hair out. You get a different kind of feeling as you walk down the nursing home wing, compared to some of the other places around the Manor. Once you pass the nurses station, take a right and it's the last room on the right side of the hallway. One room that is weirder that the other, I think. The first time we visited, we were sitting in this wing, when my dad and I seen a head peak out of this room. It weird how we can see these things, even in the pitch black. We've also had a weird occurrence happen (only in this room) where out of no where you get a really bad smell of B.O. And at those times if you have a K2, the meter will spike for just a second. Same if you leave it at her mirror. The K2 meter will go off sometimes.
The story of this woman goes that she was a very beautiful woman. She had long hair, had a husband and children at home. When one day she didn't think she was beautiful anymore and went crazy. She didn't think her husband loved her anymore. So, she started to brush her hair constantly and rip it out of her head. We heard from a little bird, some interesting history about the Manor! Originally Malvern Manor started as a hotel when the building first opened in the early 1800's. It was one of two motels that opened in the rural Iowa area. This piece of information that we have found links the Manor to the also famous haunted location of the Villisca Axe Murder house in Vallisca, IA. If you don't know what happened at the Axe Murder house: On June 10, 1912, the Moore Family, two adults and four children, and the two children from the Stillinger family were brutually murdered in the dead of night. This was a time when mass murders and seriel killers weren't a thing, these things didn't happen. The victims were found in their beds the following morning. Although these murders remain unsolved, there is speculation on who it may be. And one of those suspects stayed overnight at The Manor the night before allegedly committing the murders.
It is said that someone confessed to this murder, although it didn't hold up. And the person that confess, said that the "shadows made him do it". If you have ever been in the Manor, you know that a common thing for people to see are shadown figures. Coincidence? Now I"m not saying this is for sure a FACT. That this person committed this brutal crime. But is it a possibility that this all makes sense? That this could have happened and that Malvern Manor was a part in horrific event? I'm not sure, that's for you to decide. We recently went back for another day of investigation/cleaning up the Manor. During this time we caught some more interesting noises from the attic. In the first clip that I'm attaching, you hear what sounds like some disembodied voices. I myself can't make them out, but maybe you can? Leave a comment with what you think you might be hearing? Typically, we can hear a man's voice in the audio that we catch from the attic. This last clip was no different. Now this man, we're not 100% sure who this spirit could be, but we do have some speculation. I won't say now, but in the future I'll do a post about him once I get all the details. Even though we catch mostly male voices, there is the occasional female sounding voice that we catch. The first clip was one that was caught tonight. See if you can make it out and let me know what you hear. The second clip we're not sure who said it, but it's a different voice from what we've heard before. Then of course, there's always the creepy noises that we can't really explain. The attic of the manor is pretty empty, except for the millions and millions of dust particles that are constantly floating around. We don't have any chairs or anything that is laying around loose, so the floors are pretty clear. We do know that at one point and time there was a fire that took place and you can still see the left over burnt wood on the ceiling/roof. But that's about it. So the next clip I'm attaching, doesn't really make any sense. Just take a listen for yourself. As always, let us know what you hear! And if you've investigated yourself, let us know your findings! Follow us on twitter and like us on facebook. The links are down below! (:
In Malvern Manor, we have these eerily creepy stairs that lead to our very old, dusty attic. **If you have asthma or any other breathing issue, you may want to grab a mask or at least have an inhaler** Recently though, we have been noticing more and more that every time we shut the attic door after investigating, we come back later on and the door is WIDE FREAKING OPEN. (0.o) But that is just the beginning of what has been going on with the attic lately. The first clip that I'm attaching below, was from a group that recently visited the Manor. They left the recorder up in the attic, alone, while they went outside for a break. Not realizing what they caught on that audio tape. if you listen closely, you can hear a man whisper "Help" and then a few seconds later say "Out". Along with a chair being dragged. There is no chair in the attic, so this has dumbfounded us. We aren't sure how to even recreate this noise, with nothing up there to move around besides dust. I wonder who this man could be? The next clip I'm attaching is also from the attic, but this time we caught foot steps. Again this recorder was up in the attic alone, while no one else was in the house. This audio was caught after a night of our own investigating. ( I wish I couldn't have been there ). But none the less, the Manor never fails to disappoint and this trip was no different. Whether you believe in the paranormal or not, it's pretty undeniable that we have something strange going on here at the Manor. And if you ever get a chance to visit Iowa, this is ABSOLUTELY something you want to check out for yourself. ~We might just change your mind~
It is not an uncommon thing to hear voices, giggles, knocks and whistling at the Manor. If you've ever been brave enough to visit alone, this is just the beginning of what goes on. There's one place in particular where you will hear whistling and that is the lobby. In the lobby there is a lonesome wheelchair that is a remnant of the man that whistles. On the weekend of June 30th, we had a team come and investigate. (You can see the entire details below). They reported seeing a man in the wheelchair several times throughout one of their nights. They also had said that one of them kept seeing flashes or visions of this man in the wheelchair in different locations in the house. They did a sketch of him where they left their findings/experiences in our book. When I first started coming to the Manor, one of the first things that Josh Heard had told us, was that a lot of times when him or whoever was watching the place, were sitting in the office, they would hear whistling. In the lobby we have most of the scrap books/left behind pieces from when the building was shut down. They confirmed that the man who whistles name is Harry Wallace. They did also find a picture of Harry in his wheelchair. When the sketch is compared to his picture, it is just about SPOT FREAKING ON. Take a look for yourself with the slideshow below. |
