For the purpose of hippa violations and so the story doesn't get overwhelmingly confusing, I will name the gentleman in room 18, John. And the gentleman in room 17, Ryan. I am not sure of the real names of these gentlemen, I only know of the horrible events that would take place between these two rooms. This will be a two part post. This first will contain the story and the second some findings that we have between these rooms.
The manor itself was first open sometime in the later 1800's and shut down in 2005. Sometime during this the Manor was a halfway house for the criminally insane. As you walk up the stairs to the second floor and head down the hallway ahead of you, there are rooms 17 and 18. We have no specific details on these men, but that they were here for one reason or another and it is more evident as why John was here. Rape is a seriously traumatic experience and anyone who has been through a horrific event like this, can attest to the PTSD/depression to follow along the event. It's bad enough as is to be raped once, but to be raped multiple times a week with what seems to be no end, is something that is unimaginable hard to comprehend nor do I ever want to or want anyone else to ever be able to say that they understand what this is like. A few times a week during shift changes and sometimes during the evening John would sneak across the hall to room 17 where Ryan's room was. We aren't sure if he did this to other inhabitants as well, but we do know that John would violently rape Ryan several times a week. My dad on our first visit, maybe have given "John's" room the nickname Grim Raper (hint: the name of this post). This was a tragic event, but because of this event, we have been able to capture some pretty solid evidence. During our most recent visit to the Manor, it was just my dad and I, going in the middle of the day to see what kind of stuff we could stir up, since we had only been overnight before. So on 06/04/2016 we decided to take a digital recorder and lock it away in the Grim Raper's room, just to see what we could get. We hadn't had much experience in this room prior on any visits, but we always try. During this time we caught some interesting EVP's on the audio below. Give it a listen yourself and in Part II of this post, I will post a list of what we think we can hear on this audio. At the top of the stairs at Malvern Manor, the first room on the right side is a small room that has a few dressers and an odd shaped bathroom and closet. We called this Hank or Henry's room. We're not sure of his name exactly, we've heard both come from the ovilus. In some of the dresser drawers you will find some old clothing items, we assume belonged to him and in another drawer you can find some old nail clippings. (Gross!) You'll get some interesting responses to questions you ask in this room. We typically hear a male's voice come through and some times during an ovilus session, we get some name calling and LOTS of cuss words. In the video below we caught a few odd sounding voices in his room. It was one of the first times we had used an ovilus. I hear some things that we aren't sure what it sounds like exactly, but it sounds like a lot of female voice. What do you hear? Next up is a snippit of a much longer session in Hank/Henry's room. In this shows something that is very common and almost always works at Malvern Manor. And that is the flash light trick. Normally we only are able to get one flash light to work at a time, but in this case we get two. ( 0.o ) If I ever get the chance to, I will upload the entire session, but it is too large to post at this moment. He sure has a potty mouth. He has called my dad a "fuck head" just about every time we've been there. On their last investigation over the weekend, they visited the mouthy man and they caught a voice saying "yep" after asking if my brother, Josh, was fat. I don't know what exactly is going on in the room, let alone the entire Manor itself. There's some crazy stuff happening. Leave a comment with what you think of both or if you see/hear anything that I may have missed! For this one night only event, this is your chance to see the much anticipated documentary "A Brush With Evil 2" directed by our very own Josh Heard, which was shot entirely at Malvern Manor. Hurry though, tickets are expected to sell quickly!! Gracie is an interesting person that once lived in the Manor. Josh H. got this story from one of the employees that use to work at Malvern Manor and it goes that Gracie was schizophrenic and also had a diagnoses of dissociative identity disorder (DID), which is what the medical field now calls multiple personality's. She could fluctuate her voice in many different tones and often times the staff would hear a deep voice tone, that would replicate a man. Gracie could fluctuate in this much. What makes this story even creepier is that a lot of times they would hear her say "The devil is coming to get me". (We could probably make a great horror movie based off of her).
The first night we spent at Malvern if was my dad, Allison, Josh H. and my aunt Michelle and a few others. We were investigating in the nursing home wing, I was standing almost in the middle of the t shape intersection, looking towards the door that separates the wing off of the main building, it has a small square shaped window, like you would see on a hospital swinging door. When I seen an black figure through the window. I seen the shoulders and a head that had crazy hair. Kind of like, how you would picture someone who didn't really take care of themselves to well. It was gone almost the instant that I had seen it. A few minutes later Michelle had seen the same thing. We believe it to be Gracie checking us out, to see who we were. In Gracie's room now, is where we caught the audio of the women saying "hello" from my first post. Also, it's where little toy balls seem to move around on their own. The most recent investigation I was apart of here, we were able to get a flashlight to turn on and off, on command, as well as we had some very odd and unexplainable EMF spikes, that was going absolutely insane. As much as Gracie interests me and I love being in her room. There is a complete heavy, eerie feeling when I go in there or when I walk by her door. (Beware, there is sometimes an annoying cat under the floorboards that is vocal and will talk to you) To see some of the activity that happens in Gracie's room, click the link below to view our video page. Check out some of the things our non-ghostly visitors have to say about their stays at the Manor. If you have any experiences, feel free to leave a comment with your own stories! From my last post about the little girl, you read about some of the experiences we've had in this specific room. Up until recently, we didn't know a whole lot about the little girl. We didn't have a name or an age range. So, it was common for us to ask her questions about her, but we never really got a response back. It was anyone's guess as to who the little girl was. The only reason we knew it would be a little girls room was from previous employees and stories that have been passed on to us. Plus, on occasion you can hear a little girl laughing and playing up and down that hallway and during some spirit box sessions, we would hear a glimpse of a young girls voice.
Josh Heard recently sent us all a link for an obituary for Inez May Gibson. I think this could very well be the little girl that we can hear. I'll include the link down below, but for those that don't want to look into it, Inez was born on August 6, 1888. She didn't have a perfect life to say the least. Her parents divorced when she was young and neither wanted the responsibility of taking care of Inez or her younger brother Otto. So her Aunt and Uncle adopted the siblings. T.D. Gibson was her adopted parent and was a prominent grocer of Malvern and was at one point an owner of the Manor. One day her mother wrote the the family that she would soon arrive to pick up her daughter, so she could care for the Inez. Well this made her depressed and before she passed she said that she would rather die than go to live with her mother. So, one day her little brother Otto found Inez hanging in her closet. Inez had committed suicide on December 21, 1900. She was only 12 years old. The reason I think Inez could be the little girl is because of the audio recording at the top of the page. This was recorder on 06/04/2016. We received some intelligent responses to our questions being asked. I won't tell you what we heard until a later date, so you can form your own opinion. Leave a comment with what you think you heard. (: The Little Girls room is an interesting room within the Manor and if you're looking for an experience unlike any other, this is the place to start. Of all places, this room has the least creepiest feeling, to me at least. So, if you are the faint of heart, but decided to check it out anyways, this room would probably be where you would want to warm up in. The first time we went into this room it was just my dad (Kurt) and I, we grabbed a seat, not expecting to much to happen. I was sitting in a chair to the right of the tiny TV, my dad on a chair with his back facing the back wall (Shown in the picture above). While sitting here trying to communicate with whatever wanted to speak to us, he felt something strange on the back of his neck. Like someone had blown on his neck. Definitely powerful enough to make the hair on the back of his neck stand up. I thought nothing of it at first, thinking it could have been just a breeze. We switched seats and I felt nothing while sitting there, but once we left, we went and talked to Josh Heard about what had just happened and he had the same experience in that room. (WEIRD STUFF). On my most recent visit to the Manor on May 7th, my dad, Allison and myself went into this room, only we did a sensor deprivation experiment where we all three wore blind folds. The idea behind this is that when some loses one sense, the other four are are heightened. During this time, we all feel like we got touched in some way. I didn't catch it on the audio that I recorded, but I also heard a clinking noise behind me, almost as if someone was tapping the old metal heater. We didn't hear this at the time, but we did catch audio of a man voice yelling "hello" and "hey". Down below I've attached the entire audio. If you feel like hanging around for an extra 7-ish minutes or so, you can listen all the way through and let me know what you hear, maybe I missed something. But at the very beginning you can hear the man yelling for about a whole 30 seconds or so. This is a common thing to hear in the hallways of the Manor and it was something we had never experienced, until we played this audio back. The Manor is now offering an special event on July 16th. Join us on this night and be one of the first to view the highly anticipated "A Brush with Evil 2". Have a Q and A after wards with the cast. WE PROVIDE DINNER!! Who can turn down dinner that you don't have to cook? I know I can't. A t-shirt is included to show off to all of your family and friends that you survived an evening at the Manor, as well as an overnight investigation at the Manor, to experience that madness for yourselves!
